Heidi S Swinton

Heidi S. Swinton is an award-winning author and screenwriter of American Prophet: The Story of Joseph Smith. She also wrote the award-winning PBS documentary Trail of Hope: The Story of the Mormon Trail and is currently writing the documentary and companion book Sacred Stone: Temple on the Mississippi to be aired on PBS in 2002.
Heidi serves as a member of a writing committee for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, as vice chair of This is The Place Heritage Park, and as a member of the Advisory Board of BYU-TV and the BYU Women’s Conference Committee. She graduated from the University of Utah and attended Northwestern’s Graduate School of Journalism.
She and her husband, Jeffrey, have five sons.
